He’s got an origin story worth barking about.  Bashful Bunny knew Bartholomew Bear wasn’t wild about the dark (who is?), so she gifted him a nighttime companion with the softest ears and the biggest heart she could find.Since then, Rufferty’s taken his role as Bart’s right-hand pup very seriously.
